Just an opinion or two!

I became aware recently (partly from writing a blog!) of how many opinions are out there! In listening to radio talk shows, there are invites for listeners to ring in and have their say and there are invited guests and commentators too! When watching television at breakfast or day time or evening there are shows with invited guests, presenters and experts all offering their opinions about one thing or another! Also reading the newspapers it becomes clear that 95% or more of the news reported comes with an opinionated slant. When observing blogs or twitter feeds, opinions are off the scale and some of these opinions can become news items themselves! We don’t half speak a load of old baloney at times! Opinions are not facts and though they maybe insisted upon, peddled by the loud and brash, they remain opinions! (In my humble opinion anyway!!)
Just so we are clear!
o·pin·ion
Pronounced [uh-pin-yuh n] noun
1.
a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
2.
a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
My thought for my prayers today is this: Fact is often lost in a world where opinion is the king.  So sticking to the facts for a moment… God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16
