Rain
I look outwards, sitting in the stillness
within my ageing body, my soul abides
A cloudy mood of apprehension fills me
shaking my confidence, my soul confides

Dark, bitter rain splatters this window
as irrational tears well up, my soul cries
Water trickles downwards on its pane
craving blessed hopes touch, my soul sighs

Worries are running amok on this frame
despair forms a blanket, as my soul dies
A resurgent sun combats the melancholy
vanquishing my fears, my grateful soul flies
